Introducing Dolls House Rescue

My name is Debbie and I discovered the joys of dolls house restoration in February 2010 after finding a beautiful but neglected candidate for refurbishment in a charity shop. I brought it home and set about transforming it.  I'd discovered a new hobby!  Little did I realise how addictive that hobby would become. My first house became The Old Rectory (pictured above) and I will take you on a tour of that house in my next post.

I've since refurbished more houses and have many more waiting for attention. I am particularly drawn to 1930s and Art Deco houses, though I've also tackled cottages, french style houses and vintage restoration projects.   I've learned new skills and many interesting things while working on the houses and have met some wonderful creative and talented people who share this hobby.

In this blog I will share the projects I am working on and the musings of a dolls house addict.

Thank you for joining me.
